JUSTICE!!

Where do I find

Unconditional  Justice ?   

Social Justice? Judicial Justice? Secular Justice?  Religious Justice?  Universal Justice? Static Justice … or … Dynamic Justice? Justice for all … or … Justice for the downtrodden? At what age does Justice apply … to which demographics … to which cultures over another … how do we define Justice  … how do we define whose Justice? 

I am very simple and

this is all very complicated.

    Like any great conversation there are different viewpoint, different thoughts, different takes on the same thing. Today it is “Justice” – and my guess is there will be a lot of Love!

  7. I have this movie on DVD and the video brought it all back and with the song it was so moving. Even though the movie was dubbed it had such an impact and it truly brought home and does bring home just what price was paid that I could be free from that justice! Christ Jesus IS our Justice and I love brother, how you laid it out! You have a way of causing reflection while informing and I love how you chose this video to answer the question!! God bless you Brother Paul! (I’m going to have to watch the movie again!) 😉

    • Hiya Roland, and thank you. I was speaking to someone here and mentioned this video/music. Their response was it could not be used “for Lent”. I wonder if our self-imposed calendars seems to hinder from time to time (maybe).

      • I didn’t realize there is a season to watch or listen to something that lifts the spirit or creates a spiritual atmosphere for reflection. Not being critical of anyone, but sometimes we truly do create our own “???” impositions I guess is the best word! I truly love your spirit brother! AND it WAS a great way to portray the subject matter. I think the Holy Spirit had another “home run” if that doesn’t sound too crude!! 😉 God bless you and the family brother!

  8. I had no “feeling” for a posting, so I did not. But I am enjoying reading the thoughts of others o n Justice.

    You spoke of “fairness” and that brought to mind an incident from my youth (college days). For our physics class the professor required a calculator with specific features. I went to a local department store that happened to sell the one I was interested in, an HP65. I went there from college, in a t-shirt and jeans, unlike the business men there in full suits. As soon as a businessman came into the department they were approached by a salesman immediately, I had been there for half an hour looking at the different models and their features with no one approaching me. I thought it interesting how much time the businessmen wasted by asking questions and leaving without making a purchase, but here I was, cash in hand, just waiting for someone to approach me (back in those days you had to have a salesman to take your orders couldn’t just pick it off the shelf). My bus was due so I left without making the purchase, indignant that no one would wait on me.

    I went back a few days later and a saleswoman did approach me, in less than five minutes she made a $120 sale, I remarked to her about the prior experience, and she agreed that the salesmen there would typically jump on a suit immediately, she knew that someone who looked like me, out of place in the department, was there to make a purchase, not just ask a lot of questions.

    Isn’t it interesting how we immediately judge someone based on visual impressions and how often we miss the mark?

    • Dear TMT, thank you. What a telling tale! And one I would love to nod long with indignation. Yet reflect how often I unconsciously do the same in so many “meetings” with others. A turning away here, a crossing the road there, an assumption in this, a knowing in that.

      This topic caused me to find that words were not enough. Even the ones that are left were the result of a lot of pruning others.

      This morning’s verses: Luke 5:27-32 leave me pondering what it is we “miss” so often. As we assume the role of follower and (so often) walk around with our personal (holy) space keeping others at arms length. Is it fear or spiritual hygiene or justifiable preference … ? I prefer to err on the side of love – it is a safe place always.

  9. So much to consider in this world of conditions. EVERYTHING is based on “conditional.” It is hard to wrap ones own heart and mind around such grace. While it is so easy to desire justice on every level, why is it so difficult to accept “unconditional” …Grace? Mercy? Love? I know that it is NOT natural in this worldly flesh but only in the Supernatural can we conduct our lives according to all the Love that was displayed on the Cross at Calvary. While we are suited in this flesh there will always be that degree of “natural” but in the Spirit we can be “more than conquerors!”

      You being a great comment and thoughts! Thank you. The picture of a glass of water came to mind reading your words and pondering a reply. A boringly normal glass of water straight from the tap. And yet how even a few drops of fruit cordial change that glass – no longer “water” but now a “drink”. Some will prefer this fruit, others that – some will prefer less drops and some a lot more drops – and some will ask not have any drops at all. Yet we still are talking “drops”.

      I wonder of “drops” of grace, drops of love, drops of mercy are enough to change us and others. That whilst “we are suited in this flesh” we simply have drops to offer – but “drops” in this suit of flesh make so much difference – as with a glass of water.

      My experience? Yes it is and does ((hugs))
