“Kenyan Muslims shield Christians in Mandera bus attack.”
I saw this article this morning in the BBC press.
I longed to see it in the American press.
And it made me wonder…
if I was on a bus together with a group of Christians
and a group of LGBTQ folks
and the bus was stopped by people with assault rifles
and they demanded,
“All homosexuals identify yourselves!”
would we be as loving to our neighbors
as those Muslims were
to their Christian neighbors?
“’Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31)
This is interesting, especially the timing. I was thinking about writing a similar post about Christians of the past. Perhaps yours is even better.

Thank you. I did a search on the topic, and could only find British papers covering the incident. I’m still praying for unity and love – His prayer, too.

Absolutely true and to the point. I don’t have to agree with someone’s ideology to love them as Christ loves me. Thank you.

Amen, Susan. It’s interesting to me that Muslims are showing Christ-likeness there and Christians are not showing it toward them here. I, too, wish this would get out into US news. Blessings.

Great comment, Mel. The more of us who spread the news, the more will realize love goes both way.
